Model Number: SLA-6.1 (formerly LA-1425)

The SLA-6.1 is a very slim, compact frequency-shaded line array speaker featuring a ribbon tweeter and six 4" low-profile woofers. Extremely smooth, flat response and controlled vertical dispersion down to 600 Hz set this high-performance column apart from the competition. In addition to traditional churches, ballrooms and lecture halls, the SLA-6.1 is an excellent choice to flank the projector screen in a high-performance corporate presentation system.

Like all our SLA-series arrays, the SLA-6.1 uses a sophisticated passive network to "shade" the array length with frequency. This results in very consistent pattern behavior over a wide frequency range. Innovox SLA-series frequency-shaded column arrays provide such precise, flat response that minimal or no EQ is needed in most cases. Like all Innovox products, the SLA-6.1 is built in our own factory here in the USA.

Architectural Specifications

The two-way full range loudspeaker shall incorporate a direct radiating ribbon HF device and six 4-inch cone drivers. The HF device shall be of a very low distortion ribbon type and shall have a nominal coverage pattern of 140horizontal and 250 vertical. The LF drivers shall be of proprietary  low-profile inverted-cup motor design with magnetic fluid suspension and shall be configured in a vertical line. The LF driver's mounting system shall allow for cooling via external airflow, providing significantly reduced power compression compared to conventional designs. The loudspeaker shall employ a complex frequency shading circuit that changes the effective radiating length of the LF line with frequency. It shall also employ an optimized passive crossover with 4th-order acoustic slopes to integrate the high and low frequency subsystems. System vertical pattern control shall be maintained down to 600 Hz,

System frequency response shall vary no more than +/- 3 dB from 120 Hz to 20 kHz measured on axis in free space. System low frequency response shall extend to 100 Hz with half-space loading. The loudspeaker shall produce 95 dB SPL on axis at one meter with a one-watt input, and shall be capable of producing 122 dB on axis at one meter. The loudspeaker shall handle 200 watts of amplifier power per AES standard, and shall have a nominal impedance of 8 ohms.

The loudspeaker enclosure shall be columnar in shape and shall be formed of cold-rolled steel with internal damping and bracing to reduce ringing. It shall be available in Black or White, and shall be provided with one (1) Neutrik Speakon connector and one(1) dual binding post connector. Mounting shall consist of dual slotted L-brackets, with provision for attaching to an OmniMount 30.0-series pivoting bracket. The loudspeaker shall be the Innovox Audio SLA-6.1.
